Project:

Porcelain Patio

This mid-century suburban home garden on the outskirts of Maidstone was like many others.

It had been a family home for 30years and was simply a lawn and a few flowerbeds. Following renovations internally the garden was in desperate need of modernisation and a stylish uplift.

The brief was to create a low maintenance space that the family could use all year round, essentially adding another room to the house, or inviting the garden inside if you prefer. The use of two sets of bi-fold doors and using the same external tiles of that used in the open plan kitchen diner really help to make the transition as seamless as possible. Creating a really stunning contempory outdoor living room.

Using the darker colours behind the planting and hardwood screening really brings the plants to centre stage and makes the space feel much more sizeable and open.
