Railway Sleepers are a fantastic cost effective way to landscape any garden or outdoor space. Often a quarter of the price of brick or block walls they present an affordable solution to many landscaping issues. Granted they do not have the longevity associated with stone or brick, however when budgets are not always available they offer a very viable alternative.
This garden was completely un- use able and was essentially just a hill with some shrubs halfway up. The brief was that the client wanted a usable space for her grand children to play. It had to be flat and big enough to run around on. We installed a series of flat, levels as you walk up the garden, each level higher than the next.
