Hard Landscaper in Maidstone, Kent

Are you skilled in creating stunning outdoor spaces through hard landscaping techniques? Do you have experience working with high-end domestic properties? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a talented Hard Landscaper to join our team in Maidstone, Kent.

Position: Hard Landscaper

Location: Maidstone, Kent

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15-£18 per hour

Responsibilities:

Execute hard landscaping projects, including patios, pathways, driveways, retaining walls, water features, and other structural elements, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Interpret landscape designs and blueprints, and implement them effectively. Prepare and level the ground, install drainage systems, and lay foundations for various structures. Select and source materials, such as stone, brick, timber, and other landscaping supplies, ensuring the highest quality and suitability for the project. Operate and maintain various tools and machinery required for hard landscaping tasks. Collaborate with the landscaping team to ensure projects are completed within allocated timeframes and to the clients’ satisfaction. Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
 

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Hard Landscaper, preferably in a high-end domestic setting. Proficiency in a wide range of hard landscaping techniques, including paving, brickwork, timberwork, and stone masonry. Ability to read and interpret landscape designs and blueprints. Excellent knowledge of landscaping materials and their applications. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in executing projects. Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine garden maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, and hedge trimming, to ensure gardens are well-maintained and visually appealing. Carry out seasonal garden preparations, such as mulching, fertilizing, and lawn care. Operate and maintain garden machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner. Monitor and manage plant health, identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate solutions. Collaborate with the gardening team to plan and execute garden improvement projects. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Gardener, preferably in a high-end domestic setting. In-depth knowledge of plants, horticulture techniques, and garden maintenance best practices. Proficient in using a range of garden machinery and tools. Ability to identify plant diseases, pests, and other common garden issues, and apply appropriate treatments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively. Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. A valid driver’s license is preferred.
